PUBLIC ISLAND OUTRACE T6 – Outdoor training equipment for public areas
The Public Island Rack OUTRACE T6 is a structure designed to provide outdoor training solutions for public area, such as parks, gardens and beaches. The structure and all connected components and accessories have in fact been designed in accordance with the EN 16630 standards, aimed at ensuring the safety of those carrying out physical activity outdoors while using freely accessible equipment.
Compared to the Public Island Rack code 9085, this model combines the possibility to train outdoors in public areas with the elegant, high-impact and immediately recognizable design of OUTRACE structures. Unlike the standard configurations, the Public Island OUTRACE T6 has the characteristic of being equipped exclusively with fixed components, which cannot be removed or moved at will. Furthermore, these accessories have been entirely redesigned to also comply with the safety regulations for sports equipment intended for public spaces.
In terms of training, the Public Island OUTRACE was created with the aim of combining a dual need: to provide a professional, functional and complete solution, suitable for experienced athletes in the fields of functional training, calisthenics, street workout or Crossfit ®, but at the same time also representing a practical, versatile and safe training option for users wanting to carry out activities to improve their own physical well-being.
This necessity has resulted in a series of components and training stations that make this structure a real multi-functional “island”, within which it is possible to configure extremely diversified training and circuits and, above all, suitable for users of all levels.
Training stations and accessories
The main component of this model of Public Island is the Black-Corten OUTRACE T6, a structure composed of a single beam supported by a column on one side and by a portal on the other. Apart from the color, it looks exactly like a standard “T” shaped OUTRACE structure, the difference being that it has been redesigned in all of its components to comply with the safety standards about public training installations (EN 16630).
The central beam is equipped on one side with a Side Sky Gym Ladder, a horizontal ladder for exercises such as Monkey Walk, and on the other with two Jump Ups, each consisting of 4 pull-up bars in an inclined position. Both of these accessories, also available as OUTRACE Components, have been redesigned with respect to the standard counterparts (respectively code OR16017 and code OR16011) in order to comply with public areas installations standards.
Other components of the Public Island OUTRACE T6 are directly anchored to the three points of support on the ground of the structure. On one side of the portal, there is in fact a bar which reaches a total height of 3.51 m and which is already equipped with steel rings positioned at a height of 2 m from the ground. Under the portal it is possible to use the Horizontal Bar (positioned at 90 cm in height) as a support for bodyweight training exercises such as Push-Ups or Rows.
On the other side of the portal is fixed the Bench, which has a wooden surface and an inclination of 10°. This component is particularly suitable for abdominal training with exercises such as Crunch and Leg Raise, but also in combination with dumbbells or other tools for exercises like Chest Press or Rows. The last point of support on the ground of the structure, the central column, supports two other components: the Pull-Up Bar, with a height of 2.43 m and a diameter of 38 mm, and the Dips Bar, two tubular bars with a diameter of 48 mm, spaced 56 cm from each other, which thanks to their “S” shape have a triple functionality. The upper part, parallel to the ground and placed at 1.03 m in height, can be used both for classic bodyweight dips exercises and for exercises for the abdominals and core, such as L-Sit and Leg Raise. The lower part of the bars is instead inclined, making it useful for exercises such as Push-ups (more or less facilitated depending on the height of the grip along the bars) or Triceps dips.
Not fixed to the OUTRACE T6, but still included in the Full Optional package, are the three Public Island Plyoboxes and the Parallels, which can be freely positioned within the area surrounding the main structure, so as to constitute a station within a possible training circuit. The first are three boxes fixed directly to the ground, useful for plyometric exercises and made in three different heights (30-60-90 cm) with a metal base and treated wooden surface for outdoor use. The Parallels, on the other hand, are composed of tubulars with a diameter of 50 mm, 123 cm high and about 60 cm apart from each other, and allow you to perform numerous exercises in suspension, with or without overload (for example via Belt with Chain).
Public Island OUTRACE T6 fixing kits
All the products of this line can be purchased with two different fixing kits:
- Fixing kit for concrete plinths (cod. T6BCP/P)
- Fixing kit for concrete plateau (cod. T6BCP/C)
The Concrete Plinth Kit includes threaded bars with chemical anchors for concrete and must be chosen in the event that the structure (or its sub-components) are anchored to underground plinths and full under each anchor point of the structure. The fixing templates can be requested when ordering. (Plinths not included with the product)
The Plinth Kit is a fixing solution that avoids the construction of a concrete slab by attaching the Rack to concrete plinths placed under each upright column.
Adopting a grass turf as a training surface, allows to avoid laying the anti-trauma flooring ( which still remains the recommended solution), making this type of solution the most affordable and with the lowest environmental impact, while respecting the UNI EN 16630 standard.
The Concrete Plateau Kit includes threaded bars with chemical anchors for concrete, and must be chosen in the event that the structure (or its sub-components) are fixed on a whole reinforced concrete base, with a minimum thickness of 15 cm.
According to the UNI EN 16630 standard, the adoption of a concrete slab as a flooring requires the presence of anti-trauma flooring with a minimum thickness of 40mm, for example 9198 or 9199. In order to attenuate the users’ accidental fall during the training.
