BARBELL PAD HIP THRUST PU – PU Barbell Pad for Hip Thrusts

The Barbell Pad Hip Thrust PU is a double-thickness barbell pad designed specifically for the Hip Thrust exercise. To alleviate the pain from the barbell resting on the pubic area, standard pads (cod. 9023), created for supporting the bar on the upper back, are not sufficient. The thickness of standard pads is minimal to allow for correct barbell positioning, whereas for the Hip Thrust, it is necessary to use thicker and less soft pads. It’s no coincidence that one often sees makeshift solutions like rolled-up mats, cushions, pieces of rubber, etc.

The Barbell Pad Hip Thrust PU is therefore characterized by its significant padding thickness and the use of expanded Polyurethane to create a firm, yet cushioned, pad capable of mitigating the high pressure from the barbell.

The Barbell Pad Hip Thrust PU can also be used as a board press, i.e., as a spacer between the barbell and the chest in certain bench press exercises where shortening the ROM (range of motion) is necessary. This is clearly an approximate application, but it has the advantage of being usable without one or more spotters, as is required with wooden boards.
