WOODEN STEP H10
Lifting wooden block/wood riser designed for specific weightlifting exercises.
The “deficit exercises” (namely deficit deadlifting, deficit snatch) are usually performed with a barbell or other weights starting from a raised floor. This position allows more flexion of the knees and hips.
This sturdy wooden lifting block works as a podium from which the athlete performs the exercises while standing on a higher position compared to the floor and the support plane of the tools. When used with heavier weights, like deadlifts with an Olympic barbell, the wood riser guarantee increased stability. There are also other training situations – besides the deficit exercises – in which the athlete looks for a better range of movement, and therefore could require a raised height.
The use of a 10 cm riser has proven to be optimal to restore a work plan as uniformly as possible.
The Wooden Lifting Block h10 (code 9114) completes the series of Wooden Jerk Plyoblocks (code 9113), with the difference that in the latter, the blocks are used to set the barbell and the plates in a higher position.
From a structural point of view, the Wooden Lifting Block h10 is made with solid Swedish pine wood combined with a multilayer of birch wood, excellently finished and smoothed. Internally, it features two supports placed in correspondence of the athlete’s feet, to avoid cracking of the step. The finishing of the product is completed by the handgrips, that facilitate the transportation of the tool.
The use of Dropping Mats, or Drop Mats (code 0404), is also widespread in weightlifting settings. Drop mats are padded surfaces realized to absorb the impact of the barbell when dropped on the floor, and reduce the noise and the hazard to the athlete.
