PILATES BALL
Pilates Ball is a small and soft ball. Made of durable rubber. It is an excellent tool for group training. Thanks to its moderate weight, 0.5 or 1 kg, it is easy to grip. It lends itself to different uses: Pilates, holistic disciplines, HIIT, joint mobility, and rehabilitation. Although the name suggests a specific tool for Pilates, these balls are versatile. They can be included in many types of training, often in combination with other tools, like step and gym bar.
The Pilates ball is a heavy ball excellent for rehabilitation and training of arms, shoulders, and torso.
These rubber balls are partially filled with sand. Feature a moderate weight (from half to one kg), and allow you to create variations in a Pilates lesson, ensuring a small load that benefits a process of muscle recovery. The balls offer the opportunity to intensify the Pilates exercises. How? A roll-up, for example, becomes more intense if you support the ball. Also, a spine twists, keeping a ball for each hand becomes more challenging both for the shoulders and the diagonal lines that support the action. Pilates Balls can also be used as supports to be maintained under the sacrum or the occipital area, to correct positions in the supine and lateral decubitus. The balls also have a destabilizing effect. Take the “bird dog extension”, which is the stretching of the leg and arm opposite from a quadruped position. If you perform it by holding the ball from half a kilo, you create a greater tension to the core, really responsive stretching and pressure.
