In Via Plauto, Cesena, we are setting up an interesting space dedicated to training. Leading this innovative fitness boutique, which will open in April, is Michael Tisselli, a young entrepreneur who has turned his passion for training into a successful profession. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Michael to discuss his new project and his vision of physical training.

Q: Michael, can you tell us how you started your journey in the fitness world?
My adventure began in my garage at home, where I set up a small gym. Having always been passionate about physical culture, I wanted to create a space where I could share my passion with others. Years of dedication and hard work led me to realise my dream of opening this new space.

Q: What are the main features of this new reality?
I thought of a fitness boutique, with attention to the smallest details; from the completeness of the equipment to the customisation of the workouts. We want to offer customers the highest level of quality, both in terms of one-to-one and small group training, and in terms of the care of the environment. The environment is an essential part of the training experience; while I love a spartan and intense workout, I believe that this does not necessarily have to translate into an unsuitable and poorly maintained environment.

Q: What kind of training do you prefer and what are your sources of inspiration?
I am passionate about strength training in all its facets: from performance training to wellness to aesthetics. However, it is essential to frame training in something broader, including the evolution of functional training. This discipline has evolved over time, integrating various methodologies, and today it is more appropriate to speak of hybrid training, a trend that combines elements of functional training, bodybuilding, powerlifting and endurance training. This multidisciplinary approach aims to offer a complete workout, optimising results.

Q: What is your view on the evolution of fitness and physical training?
The evolution from functional and cross training to hybrid training reflects a broadening of the concept of fitness and athletic training. We are witnessing a shift from purely functional or specialised training to an even broader approach. These developments respond to the needs of each individual; athlete or exerciser, emphasising the importance of a balanced preparation, capable of meeting different physical challenges. While strength training remains of central importance, it appears equally fundamental to train movement.

Q: Iron Paradise is in fact a strenght gym boutique characterised by free spaces dedicated to movement?
Yes, I could not betray my passion for iron; hence the name, but at the same time it was necessary to create a specific space, with cushioned synthetic grass, to train movement. Training movement goes beyond simply performing exercises on treadmills or similar machines. It is essential to reactivate basic motion patterns, which are fundamental for improving general well-being and optimising physical performance. This approach requires not only aerobic endurance, but also the ability to move in space by performing high-intensity multi-planar exercises. Such movements, which can be performed with or without overloads, are crucial to stimulating the body in a comprehensive manner, promoting, often recovering, joint mobility, proprioception, agility, balance, coordination and thus power. Much of psycho-physical well-being also depends on these factors.

Q: What are your goals for the future?
My main goal is to create a community of people who share a passion for training and physical well-being. I would also like our space to be not only a place to work out, but also a meeting point where people can feel motivated and inspired to live a healthy, active lifestyle before performance. The launch of our fitness boutique in Cesena is just the beginning of this exciting journey.
