Recycled rubber granules.
The main feature of the flooring is the production by agglomeration of recycled rubber granules. The ability to absorb shocks, and its affordability, are the elements that define the product. The first quality is guaranteed by the granular composition, the second by the use of recycled rubber. The ability to absorb shocks, however, must be correctly dimensioned if the floor is laid as protection of an existing floor. A few millimeters of rubber cannot wholly absorb every type of impact. The force resulting from the fall of a barbell loaded with dozens of kg is always partly transferred to the floor underneath.
Double layer: on the top part, fine granules, on the bottom part, coarse granules.
The coupling of a layer formed by agglomerates of coarse granules with a layer formed by finer granules makes it possible to reconcile the need to have the maximum shock absorption capacity with the need to train on a smooth, compact surface, less prone to gritting and collecting dirt.
Compared to customarily recycled rubber flooring, EcoGym does not crumble, releasing high residues of rubber due to use.
Easy-to-fit, seamless, and interlocking jigsaw puzzle.
Among the various solutions, we recommend puzzle tiles with a thickness of 10 mm. In addition to the affordability and its protective capacity, they are easy to assemble and trimmed using a cutter.
The precision of the puzzle joint keeps the tiles together, allowing the practical realization of rubberized areas. The absence of deviations, typical of standard straight edge tiles, often characterized by rounded edges, avoids unsightly joints, a receptacle of dirt.
Other characteristics. EcoGym is produced without the use of dangerous substances ref. CEE 76/769 and without the use of adhesives containing formaldehyde ref. EN 717/1.
The tiles measure mm 980 x 980, the interlocking assembly and trimming of the joints involve a small dimensional loss. To approximately calculate the number of tiles required, 20% can be added to the area’s square meters: e.g., 30 square meters + 20% = 36 tiles.
As far as cleaning is concerned, it is sufficient to vacuum and then wash the floor with water and detergent in minimum quantities. Deposits or white marks may occur due to the close presence of dusty areas. In these cases, scrubbing brushes with built-in sponge are useful. For surfaces larger than 150 square meters, we recommend using floor washers with rotating brushes to wash and collect dirty water.
